Dear Fellow Drummer,
My name is Gary LeFrancois. I am the owner, founder, and master instructor of the Metro Drum School (MDS).
We are the Denver metro areas only school with it’s own in house curriculum. We've dedicated ourselves to the drummers that we train, making sure that they receive top quality instruction, since 1980.
Our only job is to make drummers better players! Every instructor that I have has spent time learning from me before they teach for me. My goal is to assure our students only top quality instruction. How have we been able to stay in business so long, (over 24 years) while so many other studios fold within their first year of business?

These are the four principals our success is based on. As you probably know, individualized one-one-one instruction is the best way to learn. No two people learn the same way, that's why we custom-tailor all lessons to fit the STUDENT'S needs.
Do you recall having a teacher that wanted to teach you only what he wanted to teach? It is not a productive way to learn. We realize that having fun is the reason most of us play drums in the first place. We will help you have fun by making you better at what you want (and need) to learn!
Though all lessons are custom tailored to suit individual needs, we are consistent in our dedication to teaching solid fundamental technique. We teach the Moeller Method, a time-tested method I learned directly from Freddy Gruber. Every student, young and old, beginner and pro, male and female, will learn this same technique as a prerequisite to advanced training.
Technique, as valuable as it is, isn't all we teach. Though we take pride in our approach to teaching the technical side of drumming, we use it to teach our drummers how to become tasteful and creative MUSICIANS!!
In these lessons you will:

* Learn proper hand technique to keep you from hurting yourself and the drums.
* Develop Hand Speed
* Learn over 50 beat and fill combinations.
* Learn to internalize beats through listening.
* Learn the key rudiments for hand development.
* Develop great foot control, including how to double pedal.
* Learn to create and play musical fills (not just learn one or two “classic” fills).
*Develop the skills to keep great time.
* Learn different styles of drum beats, Rock, Shuffles, Latin.
* Our instructors video record each lesson for the student, greatly accelerating the learning time. *
